Our common goal is ensuring you'll have a good time with us - regardless of whether you're in Münster for a couple of days to relax; if you're attending a conference held at the hotel, or if you've dropped by from Münster's Kreuzviertel district on your bike with a craving for some tapas. A group of (largely young) professionals ensure that guests work just as well as they can relax at the hotel. Most of us started working at a tender age, accruing a large amount of experience in our respective fields of work. Hence, the workers in our different enterprise departments are true specialists - from the sales personnel at functions through to the bar staff.
Our architecture
As the central component of the Germania Campus urban redevelopment, the Factory Hotel was constructed in 2008 in and around the heritage-listed walls of the former Germania brewery site. The excavated clinker walls and steel girders of the century-old brewery site stand in conscious contrast to the béton brut (unfinished concrete) that’s the core element of the new building. The building’s purist style served as an inspiration to architect Christian Olufemi. He designed our hotel rooms – further emphasising cosy and homely elements in his interior design scheme.
The concept
We have five departments: SLEEP, MEET, EAT, DRINK and DANCE. These areas represent hotel management, our conference and function facilities, as well as our two restaurants. We’re happy that the diverse spaces on offer in the hotel are not just appreciated by hotel guests—they’re also much loved by people from Münster and its surrounding region. It’s for this reason that all our outlets have external entrances and exits. At the Factory Hotel, locals meet travellers over a steak, a glass of wine or in the midst of a party. And that’s something that makes us proud.
About the Germania Campus
A new district was built alongside the Factory Hotel in 2008, with the hotel at its centre—the Germania Campus. Guests will find much of what’s needed to ensure an entertaining stay with us in the immediate vicinity of the hotel; from a gym with extensive spa and sauna facilities (free for our guests) to alluring shopping facilities and multiple gastronomic options. Over the summer, guests can recline in one of the comfy chairs on our terrace directly by a lake, and planning an outing to Germania Campus is particularly pleasant from here..
